I love my basics.

Outfit breakdown:
Boots - vintage - $40
Stockings - mom - $0
Denim shorts - bluenotes - $20
Necklace - sirens - $5
Sweater (MY NEW FAVORITE!!!) - american apparel - $33

Oh yes, this is a typical 'arby' outfit when im feeling lazy or running out of ideas.

Shorts + leggings/stockings + boots + any comfy shirt

What I like about this is how you can make every outfit still look different by accessorizing or layering. I love wearing this outfit because it's instant chic and easy to put together! My outfits always have to be comfortable hahah. One reader asked me how long it takes me to change in the morning...wellll it really depends. Sometimes, when an outfit feels just 'right' then you can walk out the door and be confident in what you're wearing. But sometimes it takes a couple of wardrobe mixing to finally find something 'right'. I usually prepare my outfits at night before I go to bed so I don't have to stress and think in the morning. But then again, a little part of it always changes because my mood when I wake up is not the same when I slept. Haaahh. So the short answer is it takes me 30 mins to get ready when I already have a pre-planned outfit. If I don't plan ahead, it would take me an hour or 45 mins hehe. Btw, I got that AA sweater just this week and I've worn it 4 times. Gross? Kind of. Haha but I'm out only 2 hours a day for a class or two in school. Maaaan, it's super comfy and sexy and simple and it's basic so it goes with ANYTHING. I wore it with jeans, shorts, leggings, and sweatpants just this week. I can't wait to experiment with it more hehe.

Anyways, I've taken more pictures but maybe I'll save it for the next post..I have another great tip I want to share with you all sooo stay tuned for that! Secret readers, don't be shy to leave comments =) Let's all pray the sun will shine this weekend...I need me some sun!

glorious sunshine

Today's weather is so incredibly gorgeous! After studying prefusely all week, I felt like I deserved some good vintage shopping. I found a bunch of great stuff! This skirt is one of my favorite buys =) I was originally looking for a high waisted light denim skirt but this yellow one was too cute to let go. I admit, lately I've been attracted to fringe and lace and light soft colors. It's not like me to be so girly but something is blooming in the air..hehehe ;p I hope you all enjoy the sunshine! If you must study, study outside ;)

Outfit breakdown:
Black tee - Urban behaviour $8
Yellow skirt - Salvation army $4
Sunglasses - Urban outfitters $10

A day at Granville Island

Granville Island is one of my new 'Metrotowns' =)
Why? Because of its variety, people, entertainment, and scenery. I don't think i'll ever get bored of it. Their shops and boutiques have no idea how crazy their "stuff" is, ie) purses and accessories. Not much on clothes though. But whatever, the food makes up for it =) I swear to try their "chocolate raviolli" (yes!) pasta next time in the public market. In the meantime, enjoy the following pics ;p

It was very windy that my lovely scarf fell out of place, but perfect to let my newly coloured hair be swayed =)

Outfit breakdown:
(everything from value village)
scarf $1.50
Vintage Grey cardigan $7
grey shirt $10
black jeans $7
boots (from previous post)

ps: Happy Mothers Day! <3

Medieval twist

Disclaimer: not a magazine shoot nor an 'emo" moment.

What can I say? It was cold downtown so I had to 'cover-up' somehow, while attracting some sun. So yes, the whole black idea was not that bad, except I was looking a lil' too-high fashioned. haha! Needless to say, who doesn't in downtown? Seems like fashion is around every corner. I mean just check out Robson or Granville! Oh how I wished, I could take a few snapshots of people with their ingenious and unique styles. Hmm, street fashion for the next post perhaps?

Anyways, while strolling around with my sister (in search for her grad dress), we passed by an old church. Ignoring the passerbys and cars, I had the sudden urge to take some pictures with my outfit.  And within two shots (yes two) my sister managed to capture the essence of 'medieval vogue?' with a modern twist. All I say is, I can't stop looking at it! It gives me the 'cheeells'. Great job sistah!

pose' 1

pretending to look at the church hours, so passerbys will stop staring. ;p

passerbys gone = great shot =)

Outfit breakdown:
Black 'trench' Jacket $60 saleprice (Billabong)
Side purse $ 3 (value village)
Leggings $15 (Aritzia)
Ankle-high boots $2.50 DEAL! (value village)

ps: grad-dress shopping in downtown was unsuccesful. I've been told to try NewWestminster Quay. We'll see how that goes... Until next time!

Garage + Grungy = Garungy.

Hello secret readers who never leaves comments, its Arby here =) On behalf of the both of us, I would like to say our excuse for not posting anything new in a while is....we have real lives. Hahaha. That means we're both really busy. BUT today I had an interesting time checking out some cars at the dealership so I brought my camera along and decided to post up something new for the blogsite, just for fun.

This was me waiting for my parents who take way too long to talk about leaving..so while they were still talking, I changed my shoes and my necklaces and put on a grey cardigan because the breeze was getting cooler.

After looking at a few cars, my parents decided to take a few minutes (more like HOURS) to discuss some new prospects. How I wish they were buying the car for me but nope, I get the old Corolla. S'all good though. Better to have a car than to have none! Here's a few more shots..
